In a pleasant turn of events for Nintendo owners looking to purchase Guitar Hero III, Activison has announced plans to release a Guitar Hero III pack for the Wii that will come with two guitars instead of one. Take this with a grain of salt as it will only be available immediately in Australia for the time being. All indications point to a worldwide release if all goes well though.
All of you who own Guitar Hero III and have been shopping around for an extra axe know how hard it is to actually find one.

Production issues have made it easier to see pigs fly than to actually get your hands on a guitar controller. Third party controllers have similar problems and the added problem of reduced game play due to the poor manufacturing of the guitar is always an eye sore. This release for the Nintendo Wii is the logical thing to do since this is the first time that the Guitar Hero series debuts on the new console. Because of this, many GH III owners do not have the privilege of simply pulling out their old Guitar Hero II Guitar.

gh3wii.jpgNo price point has been announced as of today and there are no definite answers to the question of the package’s worldwide release or if it will be coming to other consoles. We are very optimistic about these possibilities though and see no reason as to why Activision would not go on with this release worldwide and extend it to other consoles.
